Your Role

The Application Services team plays a critical role in enhancing customer satisfaction and technical collaboration while delivering all application development through a Platform and Technology Product Operating Model. The Full Stack Engineer role will report to the Director, IT Applications (Integration and Interoperability Platform). In this role you will be deeply involved in the design, development, and deployment of secure, high-quality software solutions. Your role will focus on integrating security and automation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), with an emphasis on writing clean, maintainable code and building infrastructure that supports CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud-native delivery. You'll implement and enforce DevSecOps best practices tailored for Azure, contribute to infrastructure as code, and work closely with developers, testers, and cloud engineers to ensure code is secure, scalable, and production-ready from day one. This role requires a hands-on engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about code quality, automation, and secure cloud development. Our leadership model is about developing great leaders at all levels and creating opportunities for our people to grow – personally, professionally, and financially. We are looking for leaders that are energized by creative and critical thinking, building and sustaining high-performing teams, getting results the right way, and fostering continuous learning.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, deploy, and troubleshoot platform features and automation solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and complementary cloud-native technologies.
  • Administer and optimize MuleSoft environments including Anypoint Runtime Manager, API Manager, and Exchange to support scalable, secure, and reliable integrations.
  • Develop reusable templates, connectors, and shared libraries to accelerate integration development and promote consistency across teams.
  • Enable development teams through tooling, documentation, and best practices for building APIs and integrations using MuleSoft and OpenAPI Specification (OAS).
  • Implement and enforce API policies (e.g., authentication, authorization, rate limiting, logging, transformations) across the MuleSoft ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with integration teams to design and implement scalable solutions using MuleSoft flows, RAML/OAS definitions, and DataWeave transformations.
  • Drive operational excellence through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and proactive monitoring of MuleSoft services.
  • Integrate MuleSoft with Azure-native services (e.g., Azure Service Bus, Azure API Management, Azure Functions) and other enterprise platforms.
  • Monitor and manage configuration changes, performance metrics, and incident response using cloud-native and MuleSoft monitoring tools.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to platform engineering processes to enhance agility, scalability, and developer experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand integration needs, user behavior, and opportunities for automation and developer enablement.

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience), with 5+ years of experience in full stack development, platform engineering, or cloud integration.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API design, integration development, and platform administration.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, or Python, with experience in backend service development and integration.
  • Proficiency in DataWeave, RAML, and OpenAPI Specification (OAS).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and service-oriented architecture.
  • Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure API Management, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, and Azure Monitor.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Working knowledge of Git and version control best practices.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Experience incorporating AI coding assistants or automation tools to enhance developer productivity.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong process orientation and focus on operational reliability.
