Overview
We are seeking a CNC Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain CNC machinery in a production environment. The CNC Operator will be responsible for loading materials, setting up jobs using established programs, monitoring machine performance, and inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements.

This role focuses on machine operation and setup, not CNC programming. The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining consistent production standards.

CNC Operator Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Load raw materials and secure workpieces into CNC machines.
  • Set up machines using existing CNC programs and tooling.
  • Select, install, and replace cutting tools as required.
  • Adjust offsets and basic machine settings to maintain part quality.
  • Monitor machine operation and identify potential issues during production.
  • Perform in-process and final quality inspections using measuring tools.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues.
  • Follow safety procedures and production schedules.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, or similar equipment within a manufacturing facility.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications confidently.
  • Skilled in CNC programming using CAM software; familiarity with Fanuc controls is highly desirable.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools effectively.
  • Basic math skills necessary for calculating measurements and machine settings; attention to detail is essential for quality assurance.
  • Weld experience or familiarity is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including fabrication, tooling setup, welding, assembly line operations, and packaging procedures.
  • Strong safety awareness with adherence to factory safety standards; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output.
