Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the restaurant's operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This position requires a strong background in food service management, with a focus on quick service and fine dining experiences. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and enhance the overall dining experience for our guests.

Duties

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to company standards.
  • Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, customer service, and food handling procedures.
  • Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
  • Utilize POS systems for efficient cash handling and order processing.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
  • Support the management team in budgeting and financial planning to optimize profitability.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership practices.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training new staff members to build a competent team.
  • Assist in planning special events, banquets, or catering services as needed.

Experience

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or as an Assistant Manager within the food industry is encouraged.
  • Strong background in food service management with knowledge of culinary practices.
  • Familiarity with quick service & fast food operations as well as casual dining experiences.
  • Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and financial management within a restaurant setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while providing training & development opportunities for staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
  • Previous experience in hospitality management or kitchen management is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations gracefully.
