Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team in Haleiwa. This part-time position requires a professional who is energetic, self-driven, and committed to delivering an exceptional retail experience. The ideal candidate will possess prior retail sales experience, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a keen eye for merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome all customers with with warmth and enthusiasm—make them feel like ohana
• Provide thorough and informed assistance regarding products and services
• Recommend additional items to customers and stay current with product offerings
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked retail environment
• Operate POS systems with accuracy and efficiency during checkout
• Communicate available promotions and discounts to customers
• Assist with store opening and closing procedures as needed
• Understand daily sales targets and actively contribute to achieving them
• Self-confident and self-motivated with a positive attitude and approach to work
• Share customer feedback with the Store Manager to support continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of experience in retail sales or a related role
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer software (Word, Excel, Email)
• Demonstrated ability to engage customers and support sales objectives, building trusting relationships with customers and co-workers
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork capabilities
• Familiarity with inventory stocking procedures and visual merchandising practices
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., reach, bend, and climb as needed
• Flexibility to work various shifts including holidays, weekends, and evenings
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
