Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for infants, supporting their developmental milestones, and fostering a love of learning from an early age. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, classroom management, and caregiving techniques tailored to infants. The Infant Teacher will work closely with parents and team members to ensure each child's individual needs are met with patience and professionalism.
Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development in infants.
- Provide attentive caregiving, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed.
- Monitor and document each child's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with parents to communicate daily updates on their child's activities and well-being.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while ensuring each infant receives personalized attention.
- Incorporate early childhood education principles into daily activities to support learning through play.
- Follow all licensing requirements and safety protocols related to infant care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education, or caregiving best practices.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or nannying settings is required.
- Experience with infants and toddler care is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices is required.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques for early learners is advantageous.
- Background in early childhood education or special education enhances the ability to meet diverse developmental needs effectively.
