Journeyman Plumber - 12+ years experience, commercial plumbing
Full-Time Opportunity: $30 - $45/hour
Job Summary:
FogHill, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Plumbing Journeyman with expertise at-least 12+ professional experience in commercial plumbing systems to join our team. If you take pride in your work, can problem-solve, think critically on the job, and have the ability to work independently without supervision this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation:
o Install new plumbing systems in new construction or renovations, including pipes, fixtures (toilets, sinks, faucets), water heaters, and garbage disposals.
o Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes according to project specifications.
o Assemble pipe sections and fittings, ensuring proper connections.
o Locate and mark pipe locations on building plans.
- Maintenance and Repair:
o Respond to service calls to diagnose and repair plumbing issues like leaks, clogs, running toilets, and faulty faucets.
o Clear drain blockages using snaking tools or hydro-jetting equipment.
o Replace worn or damaged plumbing components, including pipes, valves, and fixtures.
o Inspect plumbing systems for potential problems and perform preventative maintenance checks.
o Respond promptly to emergency situations on an on-call basis.
- Troubleshooting:
o Use a Work Order Management System to track and report your work.
o Utilize diagnostic tools to identify the source of plumbing issues
o Analyze blueprints and building plans to understand pipe layouts and access points
o Effectively troubleshoot complex plumbing problems
o Conduct preventative maintenance to optimize performance and extend equipment lifespan.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Ø Over 12 + years of professional plumbing experience
Ø Licenses and Certifications Required
Ø Technical Skills: Thorough understanding of plumbing systems, including pipe materials, fittings, and installation techniques
Ø Hand and Power Tools: Proficiency in using various plumbing tools like wrenches, pipe cutters, drain snakes, and leak detection equipment
Ø Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze plumbing issues, identify root causes, and develop effective repair solutions
Ø Reading Plans: Capability to interpret blueprints and building plans to accurately locate pipes and fixtures
Ø Customer Service: Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, explain repair needs, and address concerns
Ø Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ø Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Work Environment:
Ø Ability to lift and/or carry up to 60 lbs.
Ø May require working in various weather conditions depending on location
Ø Potential exposure to noise from power tools and water pressure
