Medical Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a part-time medical assistant and scribe to work afternoons from 1:20 pm - 5:00pm. Pay depends on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Rooming patients, assisting doctors, scribing for the doctors, drawing blood, sterilizing instruments, giving injections, logging and care of specimens, prescription follow-up, answer nurse calls, relaying messages to patients about biopsy results, blood test results and other instructions from the Doctor. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary preferred.
• Sterilization technique and phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
