Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the department of Medicine at the New Jersey Medical School.
The primary purpose of the Temporary Part-Time Student Research Assistant is to assist in data collection and analysis, including but not limited to obtaining consent from and interviewing study subjects, coordinating with collaborating centers, revising and editing study instruments, creating datasets, and designing software to support data collection and analysis.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assists in review, quality control, and analysis of study data.
- Collects or assists in collection of data from participating drug treatment centers, involving on- site activities at those centers and coordination with staff at those centers.
- Helps design software to support data collection and analysis.
- Revises and edits survey instruments in collaboration with the Principal Investigator, Study Coordinator, and other research staff.
- Edits or drafts manuscripts, IRB protocols, and other documents in collaboration with the Principal Investigator, Study Coordinator, and other research staff.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Currently enrolled Rutgers undergraduate or graduate student in computer science, information science, computer engineering, or a related field.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must have excellent writing and excellent communication skills.
- Must have excellent quantitative skills.
