Heavy Equipment Operator

Well-established site & concrete company looking for an experienced, driven, and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator

Headquartered in Greater Philadelphia, we work for the largest developers and GC's in the PA/NJ/NY region and are well-known throughout the industry for providing high quality work on schedule.

Our heavy equipment operators work as part of the overall project delivery strategy with a focus on production and schedule related to general excavation, grading and site prep, curb, foundation, footing excavation and back-fill and utility prep/install. Working closely with the project foreman / field manager, you are responsible for the below duties, often working in utility capacity and by transferring from one task to another.

Primary Responsibilities:

Activities include but are not limited to:

• Operating heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, backhoes and skid loaders
• Operate routinely used tools and equipment
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, notifying Shop Manager & Office of requirement repairs and maintenance
• Complete required paperwork, forms and records as required
• Coordinate machine actions with crew members in response to hand or audio signals
• Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task.
• Obeys and follows all safety rules on the job site and encourages others to do the same.
• Maintains a good relationship with co-workers and works well with others to accomplish a task.

*Physical demands of this position include lifting up to 70 pounds occasionally; 40-50 pounds frequently and carrying same along with constant sitting, grasping and reaching, occasional climbing and walking. Must be able to work outdoors and travel as needed*

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must have at least 3-5 years of experience on bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, scrapers and graders
• Must have valid drivers license
• Must have own transportation, be highly motivated, willing to travel. Drug screen, physical and criminal background check is required of successful candidates
• OSHA 10 certification required
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• Pre-employment drug test, motor vehicle report and background check
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $65.00 per hour
