Role Overview

The IT Technician serves as the primary point of contact for end-user technology support and is the "face of IT" for internal customers. This role focuses on delivering a high-quality digital user experience by providing hands-on technical support, proactive issue identification, and timely resolution of hardware and software issues. Technicians support users in-office and while traveling internationally, ensuring uninterrupted productivity and service continuity.

This is a 100% onsite role, five days per week, with rotation across three Indianapolis locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for hardware, operating systems, and enterprise application support
  • Provide end-user support for laptops, peripherals, accessories, and mobile devices
  • Support new hire onboarding, including device setup and system access
  • Proactively identify and remediate potential hardware and software issues
  • Ensure endpoint devices meet security and compliance standards, including patches, driver updates, and supported application levels
  • Leverage data and analytics to identify trends and areas for productivity improvement
  • Assist users with adoption of new and upcoming IT initiatives and services
  • Collaborate with peers and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues and enhance the overall digital user experience

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts, including internet security and data privacy principles
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a focus on endpoint devices and peripherals
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Azure, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Basic understanding of multiple operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and iOS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users
  • Strong customer service mindset and ability to support users in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • IT Technician–related certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified IT Professional)

Team Information

The Workforce Productivity Services team is seeking an IT Support Technician with strong experience supporting both Windows and Mac environments.

Pay: $ $39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

License/Certification:

  • CompTIA A+ (Required)
