In the role of Project Controls Summer Student, you will support the Project Controls team and gain hands-on experience in project controls, with opportunities to develop initiative and self-starter skills.. It's an excellent job for people who are interested in project management, construction, or data analysis.
Placement Details:
This is a 4 month co-op placement starting in May 2026, located in Edmonton, AB.
What you will do:
- Assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing project data (costs, schedules, progress updates).
- Support the preparation of project status reports and presentations.
- Help maintain and update project tracking tools (Excel spreadsheets, Power BI dashboards).
- Participate in team meetings and take meeting notes as required.
- Support the creation and refinement of work breakdown structures (WBS) and task lists.
- Assist with ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested by the Project Controls team.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and ensure data accuracy.
- Work closely with Project Controls staff, project managers, and field teams. May also interact with contractors, vendors, and other internal departments for information gathering.
Who you are:
- You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Engineering, Business, Construction, or related field and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term.
- Strong interest in project management, construction, or data analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Knowledge of Power BI and Oracle is an asset.
- Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge's core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).
Working Conditions:
- Office based role, located in Edmonton, AB
- Relocation assistance is not provided.
