We are looking for a highly motivated student to join our team
Our Intern Program is designed to support the development of students and recent graduates for future positions by offering one-on-one mentoring, peer and experiential learning, internal training programs, and much more. We are currently accepting applications for undergraduate and master's level students or recent graduates seeking the opportunity to work in the investment management space.
Being part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, the successful candidate will support the annual financial planning, cost modeling and analysis, and the presentation materials for internal stakeholders, senior management, and the Board of Directors.
Responsibilities Include:
As an FP&A intern, you may be responsible for a variety of tasks that typically involve the following:
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes of the organization through the collection and recording of financial data from cost centers
Support managing databases of financial planning records on the monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc, etc., while ensuring data sources and reporting are up-to-date
Maintain and create financial analysis reports using Excel, Power BI, or other tools or models to help leaders and management make informed decisions
Assist with updating financial data, preparing and analyzing monthly actuals versus budget reports, data gathering of the management reporting packages and external client costs
Conduct variance analysis and root cause analysis to explain the drivers of financial performance and identify potential risks and mitigations
Perform month-end asset class and client cost allocation tasks
Participate in projects and responsibilities as assigned
What You Need to Succeed:
Having a solid understanding of financial concepts and principles
Ability to prioritize and complete given tasks within the required timeframe
Comfort with working on large amounts of data and strong attention to details
Proven technical skills in but not limited to Excel/VBA, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
Self-starter with a great work attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong personal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues of all levels

The base salary range for this position is CAD $45,000 to $65,000. The placement within the range is determined by the role and assessment of the candidate's year of study and relevant work experience. As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you with the specific details for this position, as well as the total rewards offering at IMCO.
