This role ensures that construction is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets. The Construction Manager will manage subcontractors, oversee site logistics, monitor construction progress, and support the transition into commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all disciplines are aligned, interfacing effectively to maintain smooth construction progress.
  • Manage material handling, laydown areas, and receipt of major equipment such as gas turbines, generators, HRSGs, and balance-of-plant systems.
  • Monitor construction quality, workmanship, and compliance with engineering specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide practical construction input during design phases to ensure efficient execution during construction.
  • Work closely with the commissioning team to ensure systems are properly completed, tested, and prepared for turnover.
  • Implement and maintain site safety programs, ensuring all construction activities meet corporate and local HSE requirements.
  • Identify delays, constraints, or issues and develop corrective actions to keep the project on schedule.
  • Support cost control efforts, evaluate variations, and ensure construction activities remain within approved budgets.
  • Ensure that construction records, quality documentation, punch lists, and handover packages are completed accurately.
  • Liaise with project management, engineering, procurement, clients, and contractors to maintain alignment and timely decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize construction processes, enhance efficiency, and improve safety and quality performance.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 10–15 years of experience in industrial construction, including significant experience with power plant or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in gas turbine power plant construction (simple cycle, combined cycle, cogeneration).
  • Experience with data centre power plant or large electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background managing subcontractors, QA/QC, site logistics, and field engineering.
  • Solid knowledge of construction practices, standards, and regulatory requirements for power generation systems.
  • Experience with scheduling and construction management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and effective project delivery.
  • Diversity and Inclusion:

Hanwha believes that diversity and inclusion are vital to our success. We believe that by embracing different ideas and approaches, we enhance our ability to deliver the best results for our employees, our environment, and ultimately our business partners and customers.
