**We are looking for qualified and passionate candidates to work with adults with developmental disabilities in the Kankakee/Bourbonnais area**

Part-Time position: 15-20 hours per week (opportunity for additional hours in the future)

Who We Are

ABA of Illinois, LLC is a privately-owned behavioral consulting services organization. We provide services to children and adults who have a primary diagnosis of autism (or other related intellectual or developmental disabilities) utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We work with our clients in the natural environment at home, school, day and vocational programs, group homes, and community living arrangements.

Summary of Duties

The Behavior Analyst is primarily responsible for conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior plans based on these assessments and ensures the effective implementation of all treatment and programming for clients on their caseload as described by the fundamental responsibilities as listed below.

Fundamental Responsibilities

· Adheres to professional and legal requirements and principles as well as demonstrating sound professional judgment at all times.

· Collaborates with family, caregivers, and all service providers as necessary to ensure continuity of care.

· Performs direct and indirect assessments to identify the function of the client's behavior.

· Develops a behavior support plan based on functions of behavior and treatment methodologies that are evidence based and reflects the most recent research findings.

· Attends all relevant meetings for clients, including Behavior Management Committee (BMC), Human Rights Committee (HRC) and staffings and works effectively as part of a clinical team.

· Collects data before and during the implementation of the plan so that the plan's efficacy can be assessed, and data-based decisions can be made.

· Provides direct instruction/ ongoing supervision, training, and support to clients, staff members, and family members during regularly scheduled home and community-based visits. This includes visiting each client at least twice a month in all relevant environments.

· Evaluates the effectiveness of the implemented behavioral intervention plan and modifies plan as necessary.

· Initiates services with new clients, upon receiving information from Director of Clinical Services, in a timely manner.

· Manages caseload, prepares and submits all required documentation in a timely manner including conducting functional assessments and updating behavior plans every year, writing six-month reports, and analyzing data monthly.

· Generates reports mandated by DHS and ABA of Illinois in a timely manner.

· Supervises Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and graduate students if assigned to relevant cases.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Level 2 Provider:

· Possession of a bachelor's or master's degree that was conferred in behavior analysis or other natural science, education, human services, or a field related to behavior analysis.

· Approved as a Level 2 provider through Illinois' Department of Human Services. Please follow this link to see if you meet the requirements as specified by the state of Illinois:

BCBA:

· Possession of a master's degree that was conferred in behavior analysis or other natural science, education, human services, or a field related to behavior analysis.

· Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be physically, mentally, and emotionally able to provide responsible care for adults with disabilities.
