Facilities Support faithfully supports Bradenton Christian School's mission statement to prepare the hearts and minds of God's covenantal children in partnership with the home and church for service in God's world. It is the responsibility of Facilities Support to carry out the policies of the School Board as they relate to the function of the school, to the classroom, and to their association with students and parents.
Summary:
Facilities Support reports to the Director of Facilities and is responsible for supporting school faculty, staff, students, and families by maintaining the campus building and grounds.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for hands-on daily maintenance of campus buildings, grounds, and equipment as scheduled by the Facilities Director.
- Sets up and tears down required equipment for BCS campus activities and events such as daily lunches, weekly chapels, school programs, and events.
- Conducts walk-throughs to ensure that all aspects of the building and grounds are consistently maintained.
- Directs identified maintenance needs and incoming maintenance requests to the Facilities Director for coordination and assignment of tasks.
- Supports school day procedures including, but not limited to, locking/unlocking access gates, directing traffic, etc.
- Provides coverage in the absence of the Director of Facilities to include occasional
- evening on-campus events.
- Ensures compliance with school policies and safety regulations.
- Provides transportation support on an as needed basis.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- A clearly articulated testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior along with weekly in-person attendance in a Christian church.
- A clear understanding of and support for covenantal Christian education along with a desire to lead students in the development of a Christian worldview.
- Demonstrates spiritual maturity and a growing commitment to the Christian faith.
- Possesses the ability to demonstrate a philosophy of Christian education and personal faith aligned with the mission and Statement of Belief of Bradenton Christian School.
- High School Diploma required, custodial work and general maintenance experience a plus.
- Technical experience or knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other specialized areas related to large facility management preferred, but not required.
- Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within three-six months of employment start date.
- Must be a team player with a desire to help and serve others.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail required with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
