This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining presentation standards.
• Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and dietary needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Provide support to the dietary department by accommodating special dietary requests when necessary.
• Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

• Experience as a Cook in a restaurant or fine dining setting. (Preferred but not required)
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent culinary skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
• Familiarity with various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
• A positive attitude with the ability to help others in the kitchen as needed.
