Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, menu planning, and food safety, with a passion for providing nutritious and appealing meals. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our residents or clients while working in a dynamic culinary environment. Prior experience in dietary or culinary services, including fine dining, catering, or restaurant settings, is highly valued.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and menu plans
  • Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced and nutritious options
  • Handle food safely and maintain proper food handling procedures
  • Assist with food presentation and plating to ensure appealing meal service
  • Support kitchen operations including cleaning, sanitation, and organization of supplies
  • Collaborate with dietary staff to meet individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during food preparation and service
  • Contribute to meal service in various settings, including catering or special events
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to food safety and meal records

Experience

  • Prior experience in dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred
  • Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within restaurant or catering environments is desirable
  • Knowledge of menu planning and meal preparation techniques
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
  • Culinary experience including knife skills and fine dining presentation is a plus
  • Background in the food industry or kitchen operations will be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of dietary requirements and nutrition guidelines

Pay: $ $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
