Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering children's development, creating engaging lesson plans, and managing classroom activities. This role offers an opportunity to influence young learners' growth in a supportive and dynamic environment, emphasizing curriculum development, childhood development, and inclusive education practices. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that align with educational standards and individual student needs, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans that incorporate classroom management strategies, behavior management techniques, and differentiated instruction for diverse learners, including children with special needs and those requiring early intervention.
- Manage classroom environments to foster positive behavior, engagement, and safety for toddlers, preschoolers, and early learners.
- Monitor student progress through assessments, standardized testing, and observational data; adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to support child welfare and developmental goals.
- Supervise classroom activities, oversee classroom organization, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high-quality instructional practices.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood education trends, curriculum innovations, special education strategies, and early intervention techniques.
Skills
- Extensive experience in early childhood education with a strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children of various ages including toddlers and preschoolers; experience with daycare or private school settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education principles, early intervention programs, literacy education techniques, Montessori methods, and standardized testing procedures.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to implement inclusive teaching practices that support children with diverse learning needs.
- Experience working with children requiring additional support such as those in early intervention or special education programs.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education activities to young children; experience in tutoring or supplemental instruction is advantageous.
- Passion for fostering child welfare through nurturing guidance, positive reinforcement strategies, and promoting social-emotional development.
