SUMMARY: Provides support to the construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Project Manager with assigned tasks
  • Document weekly project meeting and/or field decisions
  • Assists the project team with site safety documentation
  • Create, manage and track RFI's, submittals, shop drawings and samples from the field design team
  • General purchase orders
  • Assist in the development of cost estimates
  • Assists with monitoring project costs and progress of construction activities
  • Help manage and control project documentation
  • Assist with the distributing project schedule
  • Assist with obtaining local jurisdiction permits for projects
  • Assist with and coordinate project change-order management
  • Assist with safety and quality control management
  • Assist with accurate forecasting and management of budgets
  • Assist the project team with closeout of project

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Education/Experience: Upper division student from four-year college or university in Natural Resource Management, Ecological Restoration, Hydrology, Geomorphology, Landscape Architecture, Conservation Biology, Construction Managment or Civil Engineering.
  • Language Ability: Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and customers.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of and experience with Excel.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
