Summary:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role is crucial in managing the storage and distribution of our products. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in warehouse management, and a keen understanding of inventory and supply chain operations.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Implement and monitor effective warehouse practices to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate handling of goods.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular physical counts, and reconcile with data storage systems.
- Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures to optimize quality of service, productivity, and efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and purchasing, to forecast inventory needs and manage supply chain issues.
- Lead, guide, and evaluate the work of warehouse employees, providing training and support as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
- Manage warehouse space efficiently, considering layout, product turnover, and workflow to optimize operations.
- Prepare reports on warehouse performance and metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications/Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse management, ideally within the valve or flow control industry.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage staff effectively.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of budgeting and performance management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
