Role SummaryWe are seeking an Enterprise Architect / Business Analyst to support FERC by bridging business requirements and technical architecture. This role focuses on business analysis, enterprise architecture documentation, process analysis, and architectural road-mapping, working closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams.The ideal candidate has strong experience translating business needs into enterprise architecture artifacts, maintaining EA tools and diagrams, and supporting cloud and on-premises architecture planning in a regulated, enterprise environment.Key Responsibilities
* Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and enterprise architecture teams.
* Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
* Analyze business processes, workflows, and system interactions to identify improvement opportunities.
* Review Change Requests and extract required data to update enterprise architecture repositories and diagrams.
* Maintain and update enterprise architecture artifacts, including:
* Process flows
* Information architecture diagrams
* Application and system architecture views
* Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate architectural solution options.
* Support development of enterprise architecture frameworks, roadmaps, and target-state architectures.
* Ensure architectural recommendations align with:
* Business objectives
* Industry standards
* Cloud and on-premises environments
* Collaborate with enterprise architects, project managers, and technology teams to ensure architecture reflects real operational needs.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong Business Analysis experience in enterprise environments
* Experience with Enterprise Architecture (EA) concepts and documentation
* Understanding of information architecture
* Familiarity with cloud and on-premises architectures
* Experience working with stakeholders across business and technical teams
* Ability to translate business requirements into architectural models and diagrams
Tools & TechnologiesPreferred experience with one or more EA / Architecture tools, including:
* Microsoft Visio
* Ardoq
* LeanIX (SAP)
* Bizzdesign
* OrbusInfinity
* ABACUS
* Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect
Related platforms (nice to have):
* ServiceNow
* Lucidchart
* Confluence
MUST BE US Citizen or Green card holder and based in the DMV
Pay: $130,000.00 - $133,000.00 per year
