Our employees are integral players in support of mission-critical programs focused on our National Security./ppstrongRole Description:/strong/pulliMust have experience installing, updating, and upgrading Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems (OS)./liliMust have experience installing, maintaining, and/or working with Windows Domain Services./liliMust have experience installing, using, and maintaining Windows Domain Administration Utilities/Services./liliMust have experience analyzing and implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements in Windows OS./liliMust be proficient in creating, reading, and modifying Local and Domain Users/Groups in Windows OS./liliMust have experience installing Windows OS Applications standalone or in Client/Server Architectures./liliMust be proficient in reading, analyzing, and troubleshooting errors within Windows OS./liliThe selected individual will be responsible for monitoring infrastructure systems, applications, and processes, and for ensuring that all issues are identified, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner. She/he will provide support for all infrastructure systems and will respond to hardware and software incidents and work with senior system administrators, at times remotely from other locations. Other responsibilities include:/liliQuickly responding to IT Help Desk calls and emails in a professional manner; ensuring issues are resolved and/or escalated to the appropriate teams; and following up with teams and users to ensure issues are satisfactorily remediated./liliIdentifying, troubleshooting, and correcting hardware and software issues including network connectivity./liliUtilizing enterprise monitoring solutions to identify alarms that have been triggered against the various environments./liliProactively contacting customers when infrastructure processes are significantly delayed or may impact their ability to complete a business function on time./liliExecuting the process for managing information assurance vulnerability alerts (IAVAs) and system security scanning for equipment suites in accordance with the System Security Plans for these systems to rapidly and accurately identify and remediate IAVAs./liliInitiating IAVA responses and system security scans, completing remediation, and extending IAVA patches and security updates on various IT and network systems./liliProviding technical assistance to companion work groups in support of overlapping projects such as implementing IT enhancements and optimizing systems./liliMaintaining good inter-departmental relations, communicating with users, and publishing status of system outages./liliParticipating in the creation and ongoing maintenance of documentation to ensure clear, concise and accurate information is readily available to assist with incident resolution./li/ulpstrongRequired Skills and Qualifications:/strong/pulliTo be eligible for this position you must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with FSP within the last 6 years./liliMust have at least 5 years of direct, hands-on experience providing assistance to users in an IT customer service capacity./liliMust have at least 5 years of experience working on an IT/software program that utilizes complex equipment/systems (ex. Network Switches, Routers, LANs, cabling, Windows/Linux operating systems, VMware, etc.)./liliMust have experience installing, updating, and upgrading Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems (OS)./liliMust have experience installing, maintaining, and/or working with Windows Domain Services./liliMust have experience installing, using, and maintaining Windows Domain Administration Utilities/Services./liliMust have experience analyzing and implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements in Windows OS./liliMust be proficient in creating, reading, and modifying Local and Domain Users/Groups in Windows OS./liliMust have experience installing Windows OS Applications standalone or in Client/Server Architectures./liliMust be proficient in reading, analyzing, and troubleshooting errors within Windows OS./liliMust have experience with IT system optimization, monitoring, and technical set-up and troubleshooting./liliMust have experience with Data Center design and configuration (e.g. rack and stack, power, placement, etc.)./liliMust have experience gathering data for and documenting technical processes./liliMust have experience documenting IT issues and providing detailed and comprehensive status reports and follow-ups./liliExperience with IAVA responses and remediation, system security scans, completing remediation, and extending IAVA patches and security updates on IT and network systems./liliMust be committed to adopting and adhering to best practices including compliance with maintenance windows and change control procedures./liliMust possess strong analytic abilities and must be meticulous and careful in their work./liliMust be an independent thinker capable of working independently as well as within a team./liliMust be able to respond to emergency system administration, operations, and maintenance problems, on a limited as-needed on-call basis./liliMust be able to travel up to 25% of the time to local program locations (not overnight). Additional travel to CONUS and OCONUS location(s) may also be required (overnight)./lilistrongTo be considered for this role, candidates must meet the requirements for one of the following skill levels:/strong/liulliSenior: Five (5) years experience as a SA, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree./liliExpert: Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree./liliSubject Matter Expert: Fifteen (15) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree./li/ul/ulpstrongDesired Skills and Qualifications:/strong/pulliBS degree in a technical field and at least 8 years of relevant experience./liliExperience with security standards, software architectures, and Network security technologies (Multiple Domain, PKI, SSP, Vulnerability Assessment, etc.)./liliExperience building and deploying Virtual Machines within an On-Premises Data Center./liliExperience with scripting and/or automation tools./liliExperience reading, analyzing, and addressing security vulnerabilities discovered from automated scanning tools./liliExperience supporting a large, complex software configuration management and development program./liliExperience working in an Agile Development Environment or on an Agile Team./li/ulpstrongPay Rate:/strong In compliance with Marylands Equal Pay for Equal Work law, the annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $240,000. This range represents the base pay for this role and is provided in accordance with Marylands requirements to disclose compensation in job postings. Please note that actual compensation may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidates qualifications, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
