This candidate will take ownership of key services and features in the backend of our product suite. Given the nature of our products at Cross Screen Media, we have complex and engaging problems that demand a diverse skill set. Our engineers are expected to embrace modern development practices, including leveraging the latest AI tools and workflows to accelerate development, improve quality, and unlock new capabilities. The right candidate will enjoy taking on a variety of responsibilities, creating innovative solutions to unique challenges, and working with large and complex datasets./ppWere currently accepting 100% remote employees. Engineering leadership is local to Dallas, TX and Austin, TX; there may be hybrid opportunities for candidates in those areas./ph3Key Responsibilities:/h3ulliDesign, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in Python/Django./liliTake ownership of assigned features and services, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and well-documented./liliWork with Postgres for application data and integrate with Snowflake for analytics workloads./liliContribute to schema design and provide input on pipelines to ensure backend features interoperate smoothly with our data platform./liliParticipate in agile planning, estimation, and delivery of features./liliWrite clean, testable code and help maintain high engineering standards./liliSupport deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting in a Linux-based environment./liliWork closely with front-end engineers and data scientists to deliver end-to-end solutions./li/ulh3Experience:/h3ulli3+ years of professional software engineering experience./liliSolid experience with Python, including Django (or equivalent frameworks)./liliStrong experience with relational databases (preferably Postgres), including schema design and query optimization./liliFamiliarity with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses, particularly in the context of integrating backend systems with analytical platforms./liliComfort working in Unix/Linux environments and with command-line tools./liliUnderstanding of distributed systems, API design, and asynchronous programming./liliNice to have: Experience with AWS services for application hosting, storage, or data processing./liliNice to have: Exposure to ad tech concepts terminology/li/ulh3What We Offer/h3ulliCompetitive salary/liliCollaborative and creative atmosphere, with inspired leadership/liliCareer advancement opportunities/liliRecognition and reward for outstanding performance, with high bonus potential/liliGreat medical, dental vision insurance packages/liliCompetitive 401K with company match/liliUnlimited paid-time-off/lili100% remote/liliAccess to the latest AI development tools and workflows and an engineering culture that expects and supports their use to drive productivity and innovation/liliBiannual company offsites, including a goal of one per year in an interesting location (2024s was in Costa Rica)/li/ulp*Unfortunately we are not able to sponsor visas for this position./p/div
