About The Job The Fuel Store (TFS) is a progressive, Birmingham based business using technology to develop its market and stay ahead of the competition. It is on a mission to revolutionise the way business is conducted in its chosen business segments. The business is a leading provider of fuel and associated products into the transportation sector. TFS provides a range of products and solutions to its customers which help them to increase profits through increasing basket size, customer loyalty and usage; serving customers more efficiently and cost-effectively. It currently facilitates the provision of and processes the transactions to allow over 60 million litres of fuel per annum through its card processes.
Opportunity
Type of opportunity: Permanent, Full Time
Basic salary: £30,000–£32,000
Commission structure: £10,800 OTE
Location: Birmingham, B2
Reports to: Sales Manager
Responsibilities
Conduct outbound sales calls with new prospects and identify customer needs to provide appropriate solutions based on our product portfolio.
Challenge and influence decision‑makers to move deals forward and close opportunities.
Turn customer interest into commitment by confidently overcoming objections and securing sales.
Consistently push to exceed targets by capitalising on every opportunity.
Upsell our product portfolio to maximise sales with new customers where applicable.
Deliver a first‑class client experience to ensure satisfaction and longevity.
Convert new business opportunities by promoting The Fuel Store brand and clearly communicating our offering.
Understand client needs and requirements to deliver tailored solutions.
Cultivate consultative long‑term relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers from generated leads.
Utilise our CRM systems to record and track customer interactions.
Achieve and exceed KPIs in correlation with business needs.
Maintain a high standard within your calls, focusing on compliance and quality checks monthly.
Display a competitive edge and results‑driven mindset to outperform competitors in the market.
Qualifications
At least 2 years experience in a sales role.
Ability to work to a high volume and manage your own diary effectively.
The ability to learn quickly and take in complex information.
Familiarity with CRM systems and sales processes.
Familiarity with the Oil/Gas/Energy or Fuel industries is preferred but not essential.
Highly competitive and driven to outperform targets, with a natural hunger for success and a mindset geared toward winning in fast‑paced sales environments.
Great aptitude for overcoming challenges.
Resilience and ability to focus on the detail but not forget the bigger picture.
Ability to work hard as an individual but also bring value to the wider team.
Excellent organisation and time management.
Commercially savvy.
