We are seeking a motivated Material Handler to join our expanding logistics operations in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is fundamental to the efficient functioning of our warehouse, involving the physical handling, organizing, and movement of goods. You will be responsible for tasks such as receiving and unloading shipments, stocking inventory, picking and preparing orders, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, is physically capable of performing manual labor, and is committed to workplace safety. Experience with manual material handling equipment, like pallet jacks and hand trucks, is a definite plus. Your ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently is crucial. We emphasize the importance of safety, so strict adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This position requires regular lifting, standing, and moving throughout the shift. You will be an integral part of a team that ensures the timely and accurate flow of products within our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload materials from incoming shipments.
- Transport inventory to designated storage areas.
- Organize and stock materials on shelves and in racks.
- Pick and pack items for outgoing orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and utilize required PPE.
- Report any safety hazards or damaged goods to management.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to perform consistent manual labor and heavy lifting.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Proficiency with pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
