We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy warehouse in San Diego, California. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. You will be tasked with locating specific products within the warehouse, verifying them against order documents, and preparing them for shipment. Success in this role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong adherence to Safety protocols. You will be expected to use RF scanners and other warehouse equipment effectively while wearing the necessary PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately select products from designated warehouse locations using an RF scanner.
- Verify product information, quantities, and codes against customer orders.
- Package items securely for safe transit, utilizing appropriate materials.
- Stage picked orders in the correct shipping zones.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the picking areas and work stations.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and report any discrepancies.
- Perform tasks involving Lifting and moving of products, up to 50 lbs.
- Strictly follow all company Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Wear and utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet performance metrics and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications:
Previous warehouse or order picking experience is preferred. Must be capable of frequent Lifting, bending, and standing for extended shifts. A high level of accuracy and a commitment to Safety are paramount. Ability to read and interpret pick lists and understand inventory systems. Familiarity with warehouse logistics is a plus. Must be able to consistently wear and use required PPE. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role demands reliability and a proactive approach to warehouse tasks.
