We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our San Antonio, Texas distribution center. This role is integral to our daily logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of inventory. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, transporting materials within the warehouse, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) to move, stack, and stage inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts, reporting any defects.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety regulations and operational procedures.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, free from hazards.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety footwear and high-visibility vests.
- Perform manual Lifting and other warehouse tasks as needed to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification and at least 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping orders, pick lists, and product labels.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including occasional manual Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and situational awareness.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Commitment to a strong Safety culture and operational excellence in logistics.
