We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in New York City, New York. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately pick and prepare items for shipment according to order specifications. This includes navigating the warehouse efficiently, identifying correct products, and preparing them for the packing station. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product information and quantities against order details.
- Package picked items securely for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks (training provided if needed).
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the importance of wearing appropriate PPE.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse flow.
