We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our state-of-the-art logistics facility in San Francisco, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the efficient movement and storage of materials within our warehouse. Your expertise in operating forklifts will ensure that inventory is handled safely and effectively, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, moving goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to rigorously follow all established safety protocols and guidelines. This includes performing pre-operation checks on equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and consistently wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety shoes, and high-visibility vests. Successful candidates will possess a valid forklift certification and a proven track record of safe operation. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, or shipping areas.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways for safe operation.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to optimize workflow and meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of material handling principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
