Seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk in Washington, D.C.! This role is critical for managing the outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all shipments. You will be responsible for verifying orders, preparing necessary documentation, coordinating with shipping partners, and maintaining accurate records. This is a key position within our Logistics department, directly impacting customer satisfaction. We maintain a strong commitment to workplace Safety , providing all necessary PPE and rigorous training to ensure a secure working environment. While primarily an administrative role, occasional physical tasks such as Lifting of boxes up to 30 lbs may be required. Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Generate and verify shipping labels, packing lists, and other required documents.
- Coordinate with carriers for shipment pickups and track deliveries.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipping records.
- Communicate with internal departments to resolve shipping-related issues.
- Ensure all shipments are properly prepared and staged for carrier pickup.
- Adhere to all company policies and warehouse Safety procedures.
- Perform other administrative or warehouse support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is a plus.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability for occasional Lifting of parcels.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of workplace Safety .
