Join our growing team as an Inventory Clerk at our Des Moines, Iowa location. This vital role supports the accurate tracking and management of our extensive warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting physical counts, verifying discrepancies, and updating inventory records using our sophisticated warehouse management system (WMS). Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are key to success in this position. This role involves regular movement throughout the warehouse, including periods of lifting and standing. Ensuring the integrity of our inventory data is critical for our logistics operations, enabling efficient order fulfillment and preventing stockouts. We maintain a strong focus on safety, requiring all employees to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow established safety guidelines. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Update inventory records in the WMS accurately and promptly.
- Receive and process incoming inventory shipments, verifying quantities and quality.
- Identify and report damaged or missing items.
- Assist with stock put-away and organization.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Generate inventory reports as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency in using WMS or similar inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and wearing required PPE.
