We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in New York City, New York. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders by retrieving items from warehouse shelves. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring timely and correct shipments. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing scanners and other equipment to locate and pick products. Strong attention to detail is essential to minimize errors and maintain inventory accuracy. This position requires physical stamina as you will be on your feet for extended periods and performing frequent lifting. Safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are paramount. We offer a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for growth within our logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a handheld scanner or pick list.
- Locate products in the warehouse by item number, description, or location.
- Operate pallet jacks or other lifting equipment as needed.
- Ensure picked items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Stage orders for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts as required.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and technology.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Excellent stamina and physical fitness.
- Reliable and punctual.
