We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our efficient **logistics** team in Washington, D.C. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your key duties will include using scanning devices to locate items, carefully picking the correct quantities, and preparing items for packing and shipment. A strong emphasis on **Safety** is maintained in our facility; all order pickers must adhere to all **Safety** guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical activity, including significant walking throughout the warehouse, bending, and frequent **Lifting** of items up to 50 lbs. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, highly motivated, and possess excellent organizational skills. Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or fulfillment environment is highly advantageous. As an Order Picker, you are a critical link in our supply chain, ensuring that our customers receive the right products in a timely manner. - Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Use handheld scanners and other technology to track inventory.
- Verify product identification and quantities before picking.
- Transport picked items to the packing station.
- Maintain accuracy and efficiency in all picking activities.
- Adhere to all **Safety** rules and wear required **PPE**.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to **Lifting** up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with handheld scanning devices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of **Logistics** and inventory management.
- Strong commitment to workplace **Safety** and **PPE** usage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
