Position Summary
The
Parking Maintenance Porter
performs several custodial functions and light mechanical maintenance to ensure the appearance and cleanliness of campus parking facilities, contributing to the professional upkeep and guest experience of all employees and guests.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.00 CAD.

Benefits for Part-Time roles: Pension matching
This position will remain open until April 10, 2026.
Responsibilities

  • Regular site wide housekeeping and hazard inspections .
  • Takes corrective action to address any conditions that are not acceptable .
  • Responds immediately to any spills .
  • Empties trash receptacles .
  • Performs light mechanical maintenance .
  • Ability to perform significant amounts of physical activity including sweeping, mopping, moving various items , and shoveling snow.
  • Reports safety hazards and larger maintenance problems to management.
  • Cleans hanging signs and parking facility infrastructure .
  • Maintains , reports , and deploys supplies inventory .
  • Completes the d aily c leaning c hecklist and addresses unsatisfactory areas ,
  • May perform other duties to ensure productive parking operations  including moving equipment including traffic cones, barrels, delineators, movable signage and barricades to ensure efficient operations .
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure productive operations, quality service, and customer satisfaction .

Qualifications

  • Previous hazardous materials training .
  • J anitorial and light maintenance work history preferred .
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English .
  • Able to lift 40-80lbs .
  • Must have flexibility to work shifts on weekdays, weekday evenings, weekends, early mornings and late nights and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Able to work independently .
  • Able to sit/stand for long periods of time .
  • Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MDS) and complete reports .
  • High School Education or equivalent .
  • A driver's license may be required depending on business needs .
  • Experience working in the customer service industry is a plus .
