Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at a Client office at a minimum 5 days per month - subject to change at any time
The Project Manager – IT is responsible for leading and overseeing the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional technology programs. This role ensures alignment between business objectives and IT solutions, manages stakeholder relationships, and drives high-quality execution across multiple projects. The Senior Project Manager brings leadership, strategic thinking, and deep experience in project management within IT environments, with a strong focus on ETL migration from Informatica to Databricks on Azure.


Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Lead large-scale IT migration projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
. Manage multiple interrelated projects, working with project managers and cross-functional teams.
. Drive the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of ETL migration initiatives from Informatica to Databricks on Azure.
. Develop detailed work break down schedules, roadmaps, and budgets with a strong focus on cost control and optimization.
. Identify and manage Project risks, dependencies, and issues, including data migration challenges, performance tuning, and cloud resource utilization.
. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and prioritize work.
. Facilitate regular Project reviews with leadership and stakeholders, providing clear reporting on progress, KPIs, and financial metrics.
. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, data security standards, and IT governance during migration.
. Lead continuous improvement efforts, leveraging Agile, Scrum, or other project delivery methodologies.
. Manage onshore-offshore delivery models, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Education & Experience:
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
. 7–10 years of experience in IT project management, with 2+ years in a senior or leadership role.
. Proven track record managing large, complex IT programs in enterprise environments.
. Experience in ETL migration projects, preferably from Informatica to Databricks on Azure.
Skills:
. Strong understanding of ETL tools (Informatica) and modern data platforms (Databricks).
. Expertise in Azure cloud services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Storage, Azure Synapse).
. Knowledge of data migration strategies, data modeling, and performance optimization in cloud environments.
. Familiarity with Delta Lake architecture, Spark, and distributed data processing.
. Ability to manage cost optimization in Azure, including resource planning and monitoring.
. Strong risk management skills for migration projects (data loss prevention, rollback strategies).
. Experience in stakeholder management across client and parent company, with clear functional reporting.
. Proficiency with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Asana).
. Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
. Ability to manage budgets, vendor contracts, and offshore/onshore resources.
Certifications (Preferred but not required):
. PMP (Project Management Professional)
. SAFe, Scrum Master, or Agile certifications
. Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals / Azure Data Engineer Associate
. Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate

**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
