DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER
This is a 12-month contract role for a professional with a strong background in digital marketing and brand management. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing initiatives and SEO to drive traffic and strengthen brand presence across multiple platforms. You will also provide guidance to senior leaders, leveraging data and insights to shape the future of our digital footprint to reflect our corporate priorities and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Collaboration
- Collaborate with senior leaders, marketing and communications peers to identify opportunities, set performance KPIs, and report on the ROI of all campaigns.
- Work closely with in-house design, marketing and communications specialists and external vendors, providing support and guidance to ensure high-impact campaign delivery.
- Establish and enforce scalable workflows, RACIs, and quality bars to ensure speed, control, and consistency across teams and vendors.
Digital Marketing & Analytics
- Maintain analytics platforms like GA4 to track user behavior, campaign performance, and optimize budget allocation based on data-driven insights.
- Support website development and management, as required for acquired platforms.
- As required, and in partnership with IT and communications / marketing peers, integrate and manage all 3rd-party tools to create a seamless user experience.
Content & Social Media Management
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies – inclusive of AI strategies in search - across web, social media, email, owned and paid channels to drive brand awareness and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop SEO campaigns and analyze performance data to optimize results, improve conversion rates (leasing self storage, residential globally) and maximize return on investment.
- Support content creation, SEO, and online advertising initiatives to ensure consistent messaging and effective audience targeting for QR globally and across asset classes.
- Working with the Director, Digital Marketing, and Brand Council members, develop and manage both organic and paid social media for identified platforms across channels to build brand awareness and engage customers and other key audiences.
- Working across the Communications & Marketing team, support content strategy and content calendars, ensuring alignment with corporate and other asset class activities.
- Monitor social media performance, respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner, and provide monthly engagement reports.
Campaign Management & Execution
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns for promotions and service initiatives.
- Create and manage marketing budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation across all channels.
- Develop digital requirements for events, advertising, and campaigns.
Reporting & Optimization
- Working with the Manager Digital Communications and IT, deliver (at least) monthly performance reports on key metrics such as website traffic, lead generation, advertising ROI, and social media engagement.
- Continuously analyze data to refine, optimize, and scale all marketing campaigns for maximum impact and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- 7 to 10+ years of experience in digital marketing and social media management.
- Demonstrated experience in budget forecasting and a clear focus on ROI
- Hands-on expertise with content management (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager or similar) and digital asset management; component-based design systems; information architecture and content governance.
- Strong proficiency in Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, Google Analytics (GA4), and CRM/Inventory platforms.
- Strong relationship-building capabilities with a track record of influencing and collaborating cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills.
- Ability to clearly distill technical digital marketing concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- High ownership, planning, and time-management capability; comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity.
- A passion for driving growth through innovative and data-driven marketing strategies.
This is a newly created role within our organization.
The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $100,000 – $135,000 prorated for the duration of the contract.
