Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist in Omaha, Nebraska, to oversee and manage our inventory systems. This critical role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of our inventory data, which is fundamental to our logistics and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for implementing robust inventory control procedures, conducting audits, and resolving discrepancies. Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy across all warehouse locations.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and cycle count reconciliations.
  • Investigate inventory variances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring data integrity.
  • Analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock aging to optimize inventory holding and minimize obsolescence.
  • Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and sales departments to manage inventory flow and resolve stock-related issues.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory to maximize space utilization and prevent damage or loss.
  • Develop and recommend improvements to inventory control processes and systems.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, including proper PPE usage, in all inventory-related activities.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as necessary for inventory movement.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics field.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of lean inventory principles is advantageous.
  • Must uphold safety standards and consistently wear appropriate PPE.
