We are seeking certified and experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy logistics hub in Houston, Texas. This critical role ensures the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack goods. A strong emphasis is placed on **safety**, adherence to operational procedures, and maintaining equipment. If you possess a valid forklift certification and a proven track record of **safe** operation, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, etc.) to move inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipping containers efficiently and securely.
- Transport materials between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and arrange inventory in designated locations, following warehouse layout and **safety** guidelines.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections and post-operation checks on forklifts, reporting any issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all company **safety** policies and procedures, including **PPE** requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring clear access and **safety** for all personnel.
- Assist with inventory counts and verification as needed.
- Follow proper **lifting** techniques when handling items manually.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our **logistics** operations through prompt and accurate movement of goods.
- Participate actively in all required **safety** training and promote a culture of **safety** awareness.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Proven knowledge of forklift operating procedures, **safety** standards, and material handling techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret labels, shipping documents, and **safety** instructions.
- Experience with various types of forklifts is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **lifting** up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Strong understanding of **logistics** flow within a warehouse environment.
- Commitment to upholding high **safety** standards and adhering to all **PPE** protocols.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to **safety**.
