Join our team as a Picker/Packer in our bustling Omaha, Nebraska distribution center! We are looking for motivated individuals to accurately pick customer orders and prepare them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our **logistics** operations, ensuring our customers receive their products correctly and on time. If you have excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment, this opportunity is for you. We prioritize **safety** and provide all necessary training and **PPE**.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order slips or RF scanner data.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items, including product codes, quantities, and descriptions.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipment, using various packing materials.
- Label packages correctly with shipping information.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and **safe** work station and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company **safety** policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of **PPE**.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as required.
- Meet established performance standards for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
- Communicate any inventory discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Understand and follow **lifting** techniques to prevent injury.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere within the **logistics** department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or packing role is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
- Willingness and ability to perform **lifting** of items up to 40 pounds.
- Commitment to **Safety** and adherence to all **PPE** guidelines.
- Familiarity with **logistics** operations is a plus.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
