Join our dynamic logistics team as a Material Handler in New York City, New York. This position is critical for ensuring the efficient flow of materials within our busy distribution center. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, staging, and transporting materials to designated areas. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount, as is a commitment to safe handling practices. You will work closely with other team members and supervisors to meet operational demands and contribute to the overall success of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and document incoming materials.
- Safely move and stage materials using equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Ensure accurate inventory counts and assist with stocktaking.
- Prepare materials for internal movement or external shipment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform regular lifting of materials, with a standard capacity of up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet logistical targets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to material handling.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement in our logistics operations.
This role requires physical stamina, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred.
