We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy Raleigh, North Carolina distribution center. The Forklift Operator is crucial for the efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This role requires precision, vigilance, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and assist in maintaining an organized and productive logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with inventory.
- Transport goods from receiving areas to storage, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety procedures and traffic rules.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Must be comfortable with frequent lifting and physically demanding tasks when not operating the forklift.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices in logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to using PPE and following all safety guidelines.
