We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is vital for maintaining the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse facilities and equipment. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for performing regular maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on warehouse machinery, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and pallet racking. Your expertise will directly contribute to our logistics efficiency and overall Safety. This position requires mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to adhering to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, conveyors, and pallet jacks.
- Diagnose and address minor mechanical issues and malfunctions.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop and equipment storage areas.
- Document maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts used.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and correctly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection where applicable.
- Assist with material handling tasks, including Lifting and moving equipment, when necessary.
- Identify potential Safety hazards and report them immediately.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on equipment and Safety best practices in logistics.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within a warehouse or industrial setting is required. Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems are essential. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics. Must be comfortable performing tasks involving Lifting and moderate physical exertion. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial. Commitment to Safety and proficiency in using required PPE are mandatory. Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively. This role demands attention to detail and a proactive approach to equipment care.
