We are searching for a detail-oriented Order Picker to join our bustling logistics hub in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is critical for ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. The Order Picker will be responsible for locating and retrieving specific items from warehouse inventory, preparing them for packing and shipment, and maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency. A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential, and all employees are required to strictly follow safety guidelines, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a collaborative spirit within the logistics team. You will contribute to a seamless supply chain, ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a pick list or RF scanner.
- Locate and retrieve items from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Stage orders correctly for subsequent processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged items to a supervisor.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks as needed.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency with RF scanners and order picking technology is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent walking, standing, and moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Knowledge of basic inventory control and logistics principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet productivity targets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work required shifts and potential overtime.
