Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring efficient flow.
- Assist with inventory control by properly labeling, storing, and tracking materials.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all safety standards.
- Strictly follow all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE, including safety vests and footwear.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and stocktaking activities.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet operational objectives in logistics.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is a significant advantage.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent work ethic and a commitment to reliability.
