Join our team in Austin, Texas as a Receiving Clerk and be at the forefront of our warehouse operations! In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and managing inventory records. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are vital for ensuring the integrity of our supply chain and supporting our overall logistics efficiency. You will work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a seamless flow of goods into our facility. We prioritize a safe and productive workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify delivered items against purchase orders, noting any discrepancies or damages.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label incoming merchandise for proper storage and distribution.
- Organize and stage received items for put-away by other warehouse staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and audits as needed.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or a related logistics role is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and occasional manual Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
