We are looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our expanding logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your expertise will ensure that inventory is handled correctly, contributing to smooth operational flow and timely shipments. This position requires precision, a strong understanding of forklift operation, and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment. You will be a key player in our warehouse operations, ensuring productivity and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach truck, etc.) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Safely transport goods from receiving areas to storage, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after each shift, reporting any issues.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and operating procedures.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Follow all guidelines for the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, which may involve Lifting and moving items manually.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operation.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and location labels.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including occasional manual Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in a high-volume logistics environment is preferred.
