Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
- Manage inventory control, including cycle counts, stock rotation, and discrepancy resolution.
- Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and resources.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse activities.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies, including mandatory PPE use.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure proper functioning of all tools and machinery.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among warehouse team members and other departments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and inventory control principles.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Experience with budgeting and cost control is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Commitment to promoting a safe work culture and ensuring the use of PPE.
