Join our dynamic logistics team as a Material Handler in Sacramento, California! We are looking for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to contribute to our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including moving materials, managing inventory, and ensuring that shipments are processed accurately and on time. This role is essential for the efficient functioning of our supply chain and logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials and products accurately.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move and stage inventory.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Load and unload trucks, verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, following all warehouse protocols.
- Properly use and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to a supervisor immediately.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock adjustments.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless logistics operations and meet daily goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment is a plus.
- A strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 65 pounds.
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
