We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our state-of-the-art logistics facility in San Jose, California. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within the warehouse. Your duties will include operating various equipment, loading and unloading shipments, and ensuring that inventory is accurately managed. This position is fundamental to the efficient operation of our distribution center, supporting the flow of goods through our complex logistics network. A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Identify and report any damaged goods, safety hazards, or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations and meet performance targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 70 pounds.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding logistics environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
