We are seeking an efficient and organized Receiving Clerk to join our busy distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for accurately unloading, inspecting, and logging all received goods. Your attention to detail is critical in verifying quantities against purchase orders and identifying any discrepancies or damages. This role involves significant physical activity, including lifting and maneuvering packages. Maintaining a safe and orderly receiving area is paramount, and adherence to all safety procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming trucks efficiently and safely.
- Inspect all incoming shipments for damage and accuracy against purchase orders.
- Scan and log all received items into the inventory management system.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or short shipments to management immediately.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Follow all company safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Operate forklifts or pallet jacks as needed (certification may be required).
- Communicate effectively with carriers and internal departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or logistics roles is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Understanding of general logistics and warehouse operations.
- Must be committed to safety and wear required PPE.
